Yes I've read that it's too long and boring in parts but then I've also read that some critics consider it possibly Pitts' finest ever performance...though personally I've never rated him as a great actor. It all comes down to the individuals' opinion anyway.
I'll read a synopsis of a movie but then I won't take much notice of the film critics reviews. I remember they pretty much slated
The Fifth Element when it first came out but I loved that movie.
Don't know why some directors have this obsession with making very long movies. The latest
Pirates of the Caribbean was way too long for me and did get very boring in parts and could have been at least 30 minutes shorter.
On the other hand, probably my favourite movie of all time,
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is VERY long yet I wouldn't have minded if it was even longer!
"If you're gonna shoot, shoot! Don't talk!" Brilliant. The over-the-top duel scene in the cemetery at the end is a classic....and here it is>>>

I'm sure I'll go see the Jesse James movie on one of these rainy afternoons just to see if it's as boring as some people say.
