Heath Ledger
Just been found dead in his appartment in America.
I always though he was a very talented actor. Thought "Candy" was very good along with "A knights tale".
ANother one bites the dust!

really sad, enjoy many of his films. They're saying it might be a suicide or bad reaction to sleeping pills.

A shock, I liked him in monsters Ball as well, although a small part. Always a shame when this sort of thing happens.

Twins Connection
Initial reports from the NYPD said that the apartment was owned by Mary-Kate Olsen. That was just too weird for words. This claim was later retracted.
The cat was excellent in Knight's Tale. The entire cast had such great chemistry... especially Addy, Tudyk, and Bettany.
He will be missed.

shame to see him go.....got the impression that he was a nice kid when I met him back when he was shooting 2 Hands (only spoke to him for a few minutes with a friend of mine who was in the film).......thought Candy was his best performance but also agree that his support acting in Monster's Ball was very intuitive and wonderfully powerful

OK i looked this up and am cutting and pasting the following:
Regarding Heath's work as The Joker in THE DARK KNIGHT
Hey folks, Harry here... There's a lot of rumors swirling around right now in regards to Heath and where his involvement with THE DARK KNIGHT was. I got it confirmed from a source involved in Post-Production on THE DARK KNIGHT. Heath's post work was complete. He had indeed finished it, as to not interfere with the production of the film he was doing with Gilliam. We're now working to find out what's going to happen there. The last known photo of Heath was as a clown in that film. Will Terry re-cast? What will happen? We'll try to find out for all of you. But there will be no-dubbing on Heath in THE DARK KNIGHT - his performance was finished.

He did but only for one week
"The son of engineer Kim Ledger, who is now separated from his wife Sally, Heath was named after Wuthering Heights’ Heathcliff. Ledger left Guildford Grammar to star in the Perth drama series Sweat. Upon moving to Sydney, he landed roles relatively easily in the television series Roar, and the films Blackrock and Two Hand, Gregor Jordan's funny take on Sydney's underworld. Skipping the usual route to Hollywood, Ledger didn’t attend the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), nor did he make a name for himself via leading roles in Australian soap operas. "It was a conscious choice not to do the soaps. Although I have to admit," he says, smiling. "I did one week on Home and Away because I needed to eat and pay my bills. Actually, there was a point in my life where I thought, ‘Hell, am I just going to end up doing that?' I didn’t want to fall into that trap,” he explains. “I have many friends who did four years on soaps and now they can’t get a job anywhere. It’s really unfortunate, especially because Australia loves to build you up and then chop you down. But doing Roar got me out of that situation. I got swept up by it just in time.” He pauses. “It’s sort of the story of my life - being swept up at the last minute.” On his agent’s advice, he moved to Los Angeles in 1997 and beat 200 hopefuls when he snagged the lead role in 10 Things I Hate About You, released last year"
