Patrick Swayze
Looking very poorly :-(
A gaunt Patrick Swayze defiantly tries to live a normal life despite his frail appearance
But reports suggest he is preparing for the end, apparently transferring his property worth millions to his wife of 32 years, Lisa Niemi.
A source said: "Patrick told Lisa, 'I will always love you, and can't imagine how my life would have been without you'. It was very touching, and it's part of his final farewell to his wife as the end draws closer."
Patrick, battling pancreatic cancer, has had emergency surgery - the cancer had spread and part of his stomach was removed.

The point is he's a movie actor I like and it's sad to see what's happening to him.
Ok, I see the forum is Books and Movies not actors so if we're not allowed to discuss actors delete the thread.

The Outsiders, Red Dawn and of course Ghost. But the funniest thing I ever saw was the Saturday Night Live skit with him and Chris Farley auditioning to be Chippendale dancers. Thank you Patrick for many hours of entertainment.

Looks like POWDER BLUE (2008) could be his last movie currently in production...that's if he gets to complete it :-(
Several Angelenos meet on Christmas Eve through chance, tragedy and divine intervention. Swayze will play the sleazy owner of the strip club where Biel's character dances. Redmayne will portray a mortician who falls in love with her. Kristofferson will play the head of a corporate crime organization who tries to convince his former employee (Liotta) not to seek vengeance on his former co-workers. Whitaker, who also serves as a producer on the film, will play a suicidal ex-priest. Newcomer Alejandro Romero will play a transsexual prostitute who shares an unexpected bond with the priest.
POINT BREAK 2 was due to start filming about now in Singapore and Indonesia. Point Break 2 picks up from where the original film left off more than 15 years ago. The story will revolve around an ex-professional surfer who enlists in the US Navy and is recruited to track down a criminal gang based in Southeast Asia. The audience will also discover the fate of Bodhi (Patrick Swayze), the surfers' charismatic leader who was swallowed by a giant killer wave in the final scene of Point Break. Did he really die?

hope he can pull through even though I'm not a fan....(did enjoy point break though but more for the action/other actors/script/direction)...no one deserves the long painful death that pancreatic cancer can deliver

He he. Despite some rather obvious plot flaws --- but then again, it was the 80s --- I actually enjoyed this movie. Even when I watched it again on MGM just a few weeks ago.
For me, he will always be associated with “North and South” though.
