Angels and Demons
Ron Howard is shooting the preqeul to The Da Vinci Code called Angels and Demons. But Rome is not giving permission to shoot inside some of the churches in the story. They are still mad about TDVC.
I've read the book and looking forward to A&D. This movie will probably be more graphic if it follows the book.

Quite a bit more sci-fi if they follow the book, should be interesting to see.

I thought the DVC was utter rubbish, both book and film. I only read the first 100 or so pages of the book, I threw it away. Dan brown, terrible writer IMO...

Never read the book, in that case, but you could probably be right. Have read a couple Phillip K D1ck short stories, and have found them so-so.

I'll have to agree with you there, with one caveat; There is so much more info in the books, that I at least feel I know the people better from the books.

Also A&D was a better book than DVC was as a book IMO..
One of his (deception point ??) was a stinker tho.. Maybe that because I had a tiny understanding of cryptography and his basic premise didnt make sense.

Watership down was a crap book but an OK film (I was 6 !!)..
I preferred all the Lechter books to the films.. More detail and tension.
Really is a very narrow field isnt it ???

No not for me.. (and if your even including Godfather 3 in good movies ?? They so should have left that alone !!).. 1 and 2 are amazing films, but the books are just with such breadth and depth..

Some of the David Lean films came from weak material.. The seven pillars of Wisdom making it to Lawrence (possibly my number 1 film of all time)..
I didnt much care for the 'passage to india' books and those made pretty good films. Thats probably just personal preference.
Naked Lunch was just too wierd to put onto the screen (its not even a narrative really).. Cronenberg made a film from that.
