Hancock
Well I just saw Hancock and had a lotta laughs.
I thought the film had a 1970's look. Grainy. A friend said that they may have shot it in Digital Video to get that look. Music was interesting too.
It wasn't great but I enjoyed it.

Bit concerned they might have shown/blown all the best bits in the trailers and left the cupboard bare for the punters??
My dear old mum gave me a book of 10 movie tickets for my birthday last week so still unsure whether I'll use up one of those precious items on this???...555
she'd be appalled if she thought all the money didn't go back to the arthouse...555

Saw it the other night because of the trailers when we went to see Get Smat (sic). Started off great and loved the basic premise, but then it got all goody-goody and moralistic and tried to turn into a tear-jerker. Still had its funny moments but I was disappointed overall.

I heard there's a scene where Hancock is getting it on with his lady friend, but he is forced to use the 'pull out method' because his super sperm blast through the ceiling.
Now that I think of it, that's kinda lame.

In the latter part of the movie, at least there was some action to keep me awake!

Is Will Smith really starting to look like O.J. Simpson or do I need my eyes checked?

thought it went Disneyland after the "realisation".....had a few funny moments till that point....but as I thought....all of these were shown/blown in the promo.....
saw "Zohan" the next day and found it much funnier (and way stoopid at the same time...but hey I like that sometimes)

It was ok, but not great. I think I've just seen too many Super Hero movies lately. There aren't many movies over here that aren't this type or comedies. I would really enjoy a nice drama with great dialog.

Know what you mean.. Hell boy this week and Batman very soon.. Bit of an overload..
Tho I have to say I am looking forward to the batman one.. Favorite 'superhero' graphic novels and lots of adult themes in them.. Ledger sounds like he nailed a good joker too..

I may catch Batman....Christian Bale is great in the part, but in this one I see that Maggie Gyllenhaal is the female lead...wtf??? Sure is not Katie Holmes.
I'll most definately will give Hellboy a miss.

If it was twice as good as the first one, it would still be front-runner for worst film of the year, as the first one was THAT bad!

One of these days I'll actually see a movie right when it comes out so I can talk about it when everyone else does. Just saw Hancock finally last night and I've got pretty much the same opinion of it of the rest of you folks it seems. First half had some decent stuff but as soon as the girl turned out to be all super as well it went downhill pretty fast. It's like the movie couldn't decide what kind of movie it wanted to be, and crammed in a little bit of everything.
All in all I don't think it was horrible but I was expecting it to be a little better (or funnier, at least).
