gamblers?

being the gambling degenerate that i am, i love books and movies about the subject, fictional, not how-to's.

book:
the odds- great book, follows three peopel, a professional gambler, an odds maker and a kid with a graduation bankroll trying to make it in vegas, great book!

movies:
last night i rented 2 movies on this subject with no expectations
bookies-i really liked it, about 3 college kids setting up a bookmaking operation. pretty good. no academy awards but also has racael leigh cook, who i love
high rollers- chris, from the sopranos is the star. its true life story of only guy to win world series of poker 3 times(before it became an annoying fad in america) pretty good movie, he gets all screwed up with drugs

Dizbusta, saw your website today and as total non gambler I found it really interesting, any BM into the odd gamble, go have a look, don't do it when youv'e had a couple cos you will never get your head round all the permutations and systems, but well written, you can really see diz's character come through all the different options, could be the road to fame and fortune.

(shhh........ Diz I did this post because I got 10/1 you will receive more than 10 hits tonight - see learnt a lot form your site)

THE MOVIE "LET IT RIDE" ITS A FEW YEARS OLD THINK RICHARD DRYFUSS (SPELLING BAD) IS FUNNY.
ABOUT A GAMBLER TRYING TO BACK THE CARD AT THE RACES

classic horse racing book "the four legged lottery" is the best horse racing book i have read, but very hard to find took me 3 years looking in old book shops.

"the gambling man" by Kevin Perkins (about a bookmaking family)

free tip?

I don't usually gamble Diz, but any free tips might tempt me. I used to go racing with my friend who works at the Jockey Club (disciplinary) and he occassionally came out with great selections on previous non-triers.

As i live quite near to Newmarket, I sometimes head down there for the day (Or night) when i get the time away from work. So of course any tips would be most grateful!

I usually just gamble on Football, sorry Soccer, at which im ok. My wins from Euro 2004 paid for most of my trip last November. But recently im getting more and more into the G.G's! So any advice would be most grateful!

A few weeks back, i did look at your webpage, but couldn't understand any of the systems. Therefore i decided to continue using mine! So still havent won much!

is there any difference between UK horseracing and US horseracing. i dont think so because alot of european horses come over for the breeders cup.

as you know, i left my job, and hung out in LOS for awhile the last 6 months. now ia m not bragging because i have had my share of losing seasons. but this year my football bets basically paid for my 5 1/2 months in LOS. i won about 14000usd this season. and, what was great, was thta i won most of it, around 9000usd, in january while in LOS, sitting around doing nothing. i remember, one weekend i was in pattaya, watching american football in some bar at 730am. like i said, im sure there is a losing season coming on, but it was nice this year

oh, you misunderstood me. that was a question, not a statement. i was asking you if it is the same, then i kinda frigured it out on my own when i realized that i see alot of european, more from ireland, in the breeders cup. i wasnt challenging you, just wondering. maybe the lengths and surfaces are different. i think you guys run on turf more over there, no?

How did you place your bets? On the internet? If so, what site do you use?

in new york, all the bookies now use online, but you collect with them. what was great was that i had my ex-gf picking up my money and depositing it into my checking account while i was in thailand. if you do it online without a bookie, they call it an agent, its a pain in the ass to get your money out. have to get it through western union and i think they make it hard so that you leave it in there
