Saw it a month ago. Very, very funny! The last scene really had me and everyone else laughing out loud, nearly rolling in the aisles.

It does make you feel good to laugh that hard. At the time, I was comparing it in my head to Wedding Crashers, and thinking maybe it is even funnier. But after a day, there really wasn't much of it that stayed in my head, and when I thought about it, it seemed a little cheesy, even though still very funny. The last scene was actually pretty stupid, when you think about it. But very funny when you watch it and don't think about! When I think about some of the scenes in Wedding Crashers, I still crack a smile. Especially the scene where he goes to find the "wedding crasher" legend guy, who turns out to be Will Farrell. And then when Will F. is picking up chicks at the funeral. I'm laughing just thinking about it!

The whole idea of a 40 yr. old virgin is kinda stupid! Especially the scene where he has this absolute goddess stunner, who is hot to get into his pants, and she is in the bathtub naked , ready to get wild and kinky, and begging for it! And he walks away from her. No-o-o-o-o way!!! Simply not believable. Too hokey! No red-blooded man would walk away from that for Catherine Keener(no offense to you, Catherine, I'd be happy to bang you!). Especially, if he was a virgin.

So, I give them a lot of credit for making a very funny movie! But it is really a lot of corny gags based on kind of a one-joke theme(that a 40 yr-old could still be a virgin), and a maudlin sentimentality about how what guys really want is to find their "soul mate," who "understands" them, and frigging mothers their poor vulnerable inner child, which in the case of that guy wasn't very inner, more like right on the surface.

The message of this movie is that guys like to act like macho studs, ready to bang any sexy stunner they see, but that, in reality, that is all a front, and we are really just a bunch of wusses who want to kiss up to some surrogate mother-type who will be our best friend/shrink/mama all rolled into one. That is exactly what chicks would like to believe. I, for one, am not buying it!!!i

This film is basically a chick flick with a whole lot of gross gags. Girls like chick flicks. Guys like gross gags! A winning combination!!

I recommend this movie for the gross gags and laugh-out-loud ending. The guy is kinda likeable even if he is a big wimp, which is part of the fun! But not as likeable as Vince Vaughan or Owen Wilson! And Catherine Keener doesn't even come close to Rachel MacAdams . Sorry, again, Catherine!!
