Anyone been there?

I am heading to LOS in April and am going to Sakeao??(spelling). I have a friend who lives there and have agreed to visit them for Songkran. Her english ability is a bit limited but not too bad when talking face to face but is a bit difficult to get any real info from her when talking on the phone.

I was wondering if any BM's have ventured out that way and have any info that could help with accomodation and things to see and do?
She is not a girlfriend as such so i will not be staying with her at her home but will be spending some time with her enjoying her area as well as Aranyaprathet and Poipet (hence posting this in the Cambodia section) before heading to Phuket.

I have only spent Songkran in Bangkok and Phuket previously so i am looking forward to seeing how they do it away from the more touristed areas. But, after googling for hours, i just can't seem to find to much info on this region....Any info would be greatly appreciated.
