I had no trouble at the Marriott last October, but I really wouldn't recommend it. I'll be staying elsewhere when I return in April/may.

I mentioned Park Lane hotel in a previous TR I did on Cebu. Very guest friendly and about $70 a night for a small room. The hotel is very nice and luckily typhoon proof.

8 years since I was in Boracay. Not much of nightlife. Yes, better bring your girl with you.
There was a kind of disco/bar/pool hall called La Basura. Nice name and you should know with a Spanish name. Good spot to have a drink. Don't know much about other "nightlife".
