I know 1 hotel which is definitely not GF... New world hotel...
had to pay 197USD for an extra room so that my gril could stay with me for the night.
There's a hotel just beside X-club in district 1... GF... this i know... coz my fren stayed there... but have no idea of name nor location...
anyone with more information with regards to GF hotels would be much apreciated...

That is a serious "joiner fee".
Is this to be understood that in order to get her in to the hotel you had to book a separate room for her?

There are no GF hotels in Vietnam. It is against the law and strictly enforced. You can take a girl back to a short time hotel, but you cannot stay there overnight.

well no joints you get get any sleep Doggy......
I stayed at the Riverside Hotel right on the Quay.....and got the venerable look of heavy eyebrow when I tried the walk of shame across te lobby to the elevator...was pointed to the reception desk by the lift operator and the V gal got a decent scolding by the manager who was called out from behind the miror for this purpose
Didn't repeat that one again!!!

Yupz... I've been scouring the net in search of more girl friendly hotels and the most definite one is "The Au Luc"( cant remember the spelling. check tripadvisor. one of the top listed hotels)
from a forum with regard to GF hotels in HCMC, "Many of the smaller hotels will, forget all the larger hotels (Sheraton, Hyatt, most Saigon Tourist hotels). "
go figure...

I just email Indochine Hotel, they said no extra charge to bring the lady guest back to overnight.
Here's the reply from Indochine Hotel
" It's ok for lady friend come and stay over night in your room as long as she
have ID "
The Duna Hotel at Pham Ngu Lao St seems good too, cheap US$15
Anyone stay there b4 ?

I stayed at the Sheraton in Ho Chi Ming City about a year ago.
Did not bring back a LT to the Hotel, but I saw ID's being handed back to girls at the front desk in the morning.
