Chiang Mai

I am going to need a long term rental in Chiang Mai next year (at least 6 months) house or unit no problem.
location not too far from the central area (within 10km)..Cable TV and Broadband will pay extra but necessary. 10 - 15K per month, Am i too cheap???
Any recommendations on a friendly agent/website . . internet searches come up with stale sites.

Not a recommendation but know of this place Viangbua Mansion Serviced Apartment in Chiang Mai, Thailand - serviced apartments.
I believe Royal Peninsula hotel also has apartments. Both of these have wifi & cable

Also a look at Real Estate in Chiang Mai, Thailand, house for rent, condo for rent, land, commercial properties in chiang mai Thailand. shows plenty of cheap houses.

You should have no problem finding a two bedroom house that fits that description.

Just to help others wanting to rent in Chiang Mai,

I found the rentals from agents were too pricey (25,000 minimum) so I found a bloke through the Royal Lanna hotel, who drove me around meeting people with private rentals, it was a bit tiring and many of the houses were disappointing, but the good side was the rentals ranged from 6 to 10 thousand.
We did get a lovely 3 bed, 2 bathroom, 2 story home mostly furnished here, its 7km from the city in Sarapi, only 10 min to the airport but I never hear the planes. The rent is only 10kB a month which is great value, I connected ADSL after moving in, I couldn't get cable in THIS STREET! so I got UBC. but only cable has the Aussie ABC channel.. bummer.
Its a quiet neighborhood and suits me down to the ground, , cheers.

i think that if you go to an agent the cost will be quite high also...if you want a house out of town you can get it for about 4,000- 10,000 depending on what you want closer to town is a good place called floral house and its cheap to not quite home comforts but not far from it, there is a vieo on of the place on this link
