Gmail account anyone???

I've been using Gmail for a while now and am very happy with it. I've still got 100 invites that I can send out...

so if anyone does want one, just send me an email to simon(at)theyeatmans.co.uk and I'll get an invite out to you asap.

GMail is the internet based email system provided by Google.

Officially it is in beta and has been forever, but if you do get invited to us it you then get given invites to send to other people

Have a look at it's features.... here

It has probably the best feature that I am looking for in an email system and that is the ability to keep your message and conversations in threads. So if someone replies to an email, gmail will keep the messages in a thread similar to a newsgroup. As far as I know none of the other web based email providers do this (shoot me down if I'm wrong!). You also get over 2.5Gb of storage for free, which is pretty good.

I had a look at Yahoo mail the other day and I like it, lots of features, except that I didn't see how you could set the messages to be in threads. So I went straight back to Gmail.

Why don't you try it? if you don't like it...don't use it.

As GMail is still officially in beta you cannot just go and signup, so they give everyone with accounts numerous invites that they can send to friends.

This is simply a link you can follow to signup for GMail. No scam, just a way to keep the numbers of members down so they can fully test the system before going live....although it's been in beta for as long as I can remember!

Type of hotmail address. Useful if you want to keep in touch when away from home. I've got about 95 left too.

I set mine up for when I'm away in LOS for 6 weeks. Work can keep in touch (if I bother to log on ), but that was my agreement for getting 6 weeks off.

And it shits all over hotmail, probably alot to do with the very much smaller number of users.

Definitely better than Hotmail, Microsoft have ruined it I think.

I just wish Google would update GMail with more features....it's sorely lacking a Calendar and other features that Yahoo Mail do already have.

But now I've used GMail with it's "threaded" emails I won't switch....can't understand why the other email systems don't it too, it can't be that difficult!!
