Adobe Photoshop

I bought a copy of this in Pantip Plaza and installed it today. It asked me for the registration number which i do not have, so I opted for the 30 day trial period. However when I try and open a photo with photoshop, it says I am not authorised to do so.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Gez

Have a screenshot of the error message? also google the actual message, you'll normally find loads of people who have had the same issues

Not that I would ever recommend this, but have you tried a crack from keygen.us or similar? Just make sure your virus protection is up to date before you log on to them.

Check if there is a file "crack" on the CD. Substitute this once you installed the program.

Not sure it's as easy as that.

They provide you with a serial that when you enter, then generates an activation code, you then use that to get an authorisation key over the internet or by phone to Adobe.

The combination of these three codes activates the software for use.

Gez, I guess you have a keymaker on the CD you got, and/or a .nfo (text) file with instruction how to use this copy. E.g. apply a crack file or something.

Computers is not my area of expertice, however I read some where you can (with a autorization code maker) generate a autorization code by having a seriel number. And you put in the info by klicking "registration by phone" or something. This apply for Photoshop CS... If you haven't resolved the problem, send me a mail and I'll dig up the info you need to make it work, if your problem is about Postoshop CS that is...

Keygen

KEYGEN is the answer. Found it on the disc and it gets the thing working, but in order to have it forever I should go online to activate it. Obviously adobe will realise it is a pirate copy and I'll be fcuked, so I have selected the free 30 day trial period.

I have about 700 photos (don't worry I have no intention of posting all of them), but can someone tell me how to resize all of them to fit (100k?) on to the forum.

Cheers

Gez

What happens if I ask for the activation code - I guess it has been used already by the original owner.

Gez,

If all you want to is resize pics for the board, then you dont need PS for that, it overkill. Just use irfanview, you can even process a heap of files together, in a batch operation

Doing them all at once - that's what I want. What is irfanview? free download?

Cheers Steve,

Downloded it, installed it and even managed to work out how to resize a whole directory (1 smartmedia card) really quick.

Stand back folks, photos on the way

Gez

The KEYGEN should also generate an authorization code for you. Spend some time and look through the file.

Gez, If you have to activate, don't registrate by internet. Use the fax way. Print the registration, (and never use it).

Sounds like Photoshop is way more than you need. If Irfanview (as recommended by Stevem) does what you need I would leave it there. Photoshop is the dogs bollox, no question, but there is a pretty steep learning curve and if you don't need it, I wouldn't invest the time.

Buy an official copy? or look on the cd/dvd and find a txt or info file with serial numbers and crack as most of those illegal versions work like that

Do not try to "register online" use the function "register by phone"... And yes the tiny generation program is the answer. During the installation you should type a serial number when installing the program (photoshop) after that you'll get a validation number and then open the Keygen program. When done so, all you need to do is type the serial number and the validation code and press "generate" and you'll get your autorization code. Then go to "registration by phone" and type your brand new code and you're done... Should work like a charm
