Just bought my first webcam and headset on Phuket end of April before going back to Denmark

Life is wonderfull, now sitting here back in Denmark with MSN Messenger in video conversation with my thai girl friend

and all it cost me is what I pay for my ADSL connection, which I also use for my own web server.

No expensive phone bills, no need for 3G mobile with video, just a good Internet connection and you're on.

Even the new Skype2 have webcam support now, a few days ago I was talking one hour with a good friend in Lissabon Portugal.

I use skype a lot.. Definately more than my landline (never used) and in time maybe more then my cell which is used in short bursts not to chat but skype I chat for hours with people especially back in Europe..

Now that skype offers free US landline calls the VOIP scene is really taking off.. Telcos must be worried.

I still use pre-paid phone cards, I tried one yesterday that costed me about 450B (90 SEK) and I could talk with teerak for about 4 hours

that's about 1.9 Baht a minute which it's pretty cheap to me

The connection was fairly good so I can't complain about that. The only "complicated thing" is that you have to enter a code (about 10 digits) before dailing but I'm Ok with it. The thing is that she wish me to call everyday so we can talk 1-2 hours until we meet again in a few months

In the UK you can use a company that charges 3p per minute. You dial the following number first

08444 379 379

All calls are 3p a minute.

Does it work using mobile phones. How about calling abroad ?

I am not sure, but when I phoned from my mobile, they charged me for the 08444 number more than they did from a land line.

I use it when I want to phone thailand, it is made for using international calls.

Hey, I have found one more online international call software in www.hotfoon.com. Dont know about the clarity but testing it.
