That's what I was thinking. It looks like a very technical item that they are fighting over because the basis of the systems is completely different (if I'm reading it correctly )

I'm interested in skype\voip. One for the future for me.

Skype is a fantastic program, my parents can hear and see Nathalie for example, and its free. I also use it to keep in touch with my parents, no expensive phonecalls anymore.

Althought I dont understand how eBay could pay that huge amount of money for that program, must take many many years before and if they get any money back.

How can people get patent for a peer to peer technology in first case? Ofcourse two computers want to talk directly instead of going through a large server. I guess this patent is only valid for voip, as a lot of other software use same technology. Or did I misunderstood the article?
