Data Center in Thailand
I have a question to some of you expats in LOS.
I just had a quote CAT Telecom to host a data center for my company. The data center will run/host our servers for central applications to be used by primary our subsidiaries in other parts of Asia (India, Taiwan, China, NZ, SG, MY, PH, HK etc.). The offer was very good, but I would like to hear if any of you have experience with CAT, or with other hosting partners in Thailand. My primary concern is downtime of the internet connections in/out of Thailand.

Surely you'll be using leased lines and not relying on the internet backbone. Personally I would be looking at costing for hosting in SG and MY with MY being much cheaper. IT and telecoms in MY is of a very high standard.

Thanks, SG and MY was actually also on my list as preferred hosting places until my boss came with this very good offer from CAT Telecom.
