torrent and file sharing sites
Does anyone know of torrent or file sharing sites that have general tv stuff etc.
I am already sorted with music and porn  sites, but want things such as UK comedy shows, maybe some films.

Torrent Portal - Free Bit Torrent Downloads try this link mate it's quite good for films but not shur about tv shows ur have to have a look.

Yes Mininova.org is tops. They pick up a lot from EZTV - TV torrents online
I find just putting "XXXXX torrent" into goolge is starting to work well. I found Hustle through torrents. Great show! BTW, recommend newsgroups over torrents. MUCH faster. but it is a hole other thing to learn.

never heard of newsgroups till now looks interesting tho....
i use Demonoid.com for the latest films n such... but for porn n music and the likes i use AresUltra but there's always LimeWire: The Official Site for the Fastest File Sharing Program on the Planet but its dodgy enough using that u might get a virus or something,still good for southpark n simpsons episodes tho... _______________________________________________

So basically all the binarry stuff is translated into a whole bunch of text files. But the NZBs and applications I mentioned take care of the nasty stuff for you, so you don't have to worry about it. Most torrent search sites are well self-regulated, so risk of a virus is very low. Especially if you d/l a file thats already been hit by 1000's of others.
Peer Guardian 2 - I have used that as a way of keeping bad IPs from snopping on me. Unsure whether PG2 actually does much.

Newsgroup is old skool, I used back in 1994 to get adult pictures but havent used it much since then. Also used to read some forums there long time ago.

Get peerguardian - Phoenix Labs » PeerGuardian 2 - it helps to prevent the weasles from closing in, or you can use the forementioned newsgroup method.
Also, "Grabit" - Shemes.com :: Home - is a very easy to use newsreader.
