changing format

Is it possible to change the format of downloaded video files. They are currently in windows media audio/video file. I would like to burn them on to a disc and view on my TV via CD/DVD player.

You can, but you need some software. Not too sure of any names just at the moment, but go to downloads.com or tucows.com and have a look in the multimedia sections.

read on doom9.. more info than you will ever wish to know about video encoding..

If you dont need or want to know details just look for DVD authoring SW..

Changing format

Buy a bootleg version of Nero 6 or Easy CD creator. Both work well

www.videohelp.com has lots of info and "How To" guides on this sort of thing.
