Board software: mie penhaa

I noticed it after I came back 3 days ago. There's something wrong with the board software and/or config of it. Normally "new posts" will show me the new posts, now it shows me not ALL new posts. If you go to "Quick Links" and choose "Today's posts" your new post shows up normally. I think a little bit tweaking by the sysadmins can do the trick.

No, it's not my browser:
$ mozilla --version
Mozilla 1.7.10, Copyright (c) 2003-2004 mozilla.org, build 2005071500

It's not any mal/spyware or other virus:
$ cat /etc/issue | grep -v ^$
Welcome to SuSE Linux 9.1 (i586)

and my time on my PC is accurate:
$ sudo ntpdate -u 203.121.130.1
14 Oct 06:17:42 ntpdate[23850]: -0.256145 sec

But I could be wrong, that possibility always exists.

For example, the thread "Thai Fever - is there a cure ?" shows me only 2 posts in this thread. 20 minutes ago I posted message 8.

Hope that helps.

Odd as the new posts situation has started to work for me cleanly and without errors since the forum upgrade..

Before that it would often show threads I had often viewed previously and even say 'new posts' when I was the last poster.. It also seemed to have incorrect tracking of read threads showing unread threads as a link un travelled (dark blue bold instead of normal).. Now it seems perfect..

Though it did take one or two days for the forum SW to catch up and sort my history out.. Perhaps your going through that phase..

I was having a similar problem with new posts. Refresh would only show new posts for threads on the top section.

ie. read a thread, refresh the read thread leaves the new posts section. Any more refreshes would not bring it up, yet if I back out to index then to the thread catagory, there was the thread with a bunch of new posts.

Only way I can update now is back out to the index then click new posts again.

Didn't do that before.

This is a problem which I mentioned to Nicke the other night, about the use of URL's. When people use backward and forward buttons, and their previous action was to post, then that post action will be redone.
