i work in the biggest car breakers in london and was wondering, as a farang would it be possible to start a buisness in los selling tyres?

do any of you have any experience or know if this would be possible?

a guy i know from loas came to my work and surgested this to me, so it got me thinking.

Mmm,
Sounds like sending rubber to Thailand! Probably as useful as coals to Newcastle.

From what I know of the rubber industry (industrial hoses) you would probably find british tyres NFG in Thailand, roads too hot, different road surfaces etc.

I would have to agree with steve, my gf's brother is in that business, he travels throught los..aparantly business is good.

A friend of mine in classic car biz in UK wanted to set up operation here and was only possible as 49/51 (you/thai partner) operation. Tyre business here is already very competative and would be hard to charge premium over what are very reasonable local prices. If you had enough by way of resources perhaps worthwhile you talking about partnerships with Thai players here.

Genuinely interested in a good price for 'Run Flats' if you get your hands on them! Obviously there would be a handling and shipping charge but I do have a good rate sorted out with DHL here in Iraq.
