True cost of living in Patong Phuket

Well what is it ??????

I understand fully that it can range depending on lifestyle choices thats for sure.

However in the philippines example AC for about 1700-2200 a month US dollars being single you could live a Very good life based on a Nice APT and about 3-4 barfines a week.

I know that this is very general way of putting things but there has to be a so-called Norm in Patong on what someone can live Good on.

Notice I didnt say living like a King but Good .....

Nice Apt or condo food 3 times day power air con internet Barfines based on 3-5 times weekly I do realize that this number could be a huge spread but I AM basing it on maybe a beer bar with 2-3 drink s inculded and or the FBI bar after hours.

Not to mention Transportation in which I think most would just buy an scooter and that would do just fine.

After being in phuket a few days myself a couple of weeks ago and looking around the area Fairly well I have figured to live good in Patong the cost in US dollars is going to be about Min 2000 grand a month to 3000 a month overall.

Yes its going to be a bit higher then Philippines only because Well a lot of reasons Apts and housing is much higher in phuket Girls overall are Higher also Due to that Money hungry culture of Face as we call it that they all live in.

Keep in mind I realize that many guys can and do come under that overall number but How SO ?????? Even with a Thai gf in which I have seen they seem not to be very cost effective either ...........

I AM Waiting for the inputt on this Subject ................

Lets see who can line item it all out fairly close with all of the above mentioned.

Regards to all
Mrstein

Cool Bad combination

Late night drinking and a scooter results in large hospital bills.Be warned.

I live full time in Patong in a rental bungalow, have full time live in TGF,and manage to get by on roughly 55,000 Baht per month.(Not including all the compulsory Visa runs which rack it up a bit) I know many friends who spend a lot less and still have a comfortable lifestyle.

I think you could live pretty well with 1700-2200 USD/month, as Crustasian pointed out, lot of people spend a lot less.
