Email to 'Blooming Bert' of the gazette fame would probably be your best solution..

I thought I saw a hell of alot of Begonias while I was there! Every balcony at Patong Villa has Begonia and it looks nice, there are even different colours!! (I know thats a bit girly but I am trying to get into BattleCat and Boogs good books by showing more of my flower recognition skills here!)

There was one hotel I saw in Kata that was just one big Begonia but can't remember it's name.......Probably Hotel Begonia! I am sure if approached they would let you take some cuttings Wellington.

All the best, P. Thrower, Blue Peter Garden

This was brilliant. Ten points for effort; getting there slowly; the problem is the pic is the wrong sort of Begonia; these are more the size of Busy Lizzies.
BLs do not seem to do well here ,and attract a lovely 4 inch green caterpillar who munches non stop and drops little pellets under the plants so at least you can catch the b*ggers.
"Tuberous" is the operative word, which is stumping everybody; they are larger plants ,bigger flowers ; I had them in hanging baskets outside my shop in Surrey, and they dangle down to about three feet. That's what I am searching for.

Thanks again, must have sent this one when I was scribing my last reply; which answers this one I think, and I do appreciate your generous offer; but as I say, wrong begonias

Not a problem Wellington, I have sawn my 'Pricker' in half, cancelled my subscription to 'Gardners Weekly' and changed my name back to Denver

They sound similar though! Ah well, you can't beat a nice concrete patio!

Gotta love this one doncha???????????

Reminds me of the Steve Martin Movie.....sorry forgot which one

Kathleen Turner's character: on seeing the servants waving a fond welcome to her from the beautiful blooming colorful balcony of her new home after being just married to Steve Martins character............"Oh my God honey...Who are those A$$holes on the balcony"

Steve Martin's character:in a very sincere but fond voice "they're not assholes honey....they're Azaleas"

You have got to display your flowery feminine side sometimes Dodger, the girls just love it! You have to say things like "Ah yes, those are Petunia-Petunia if I am not very much mistaken and those look like Tulipio-Tulipus" and they will just drag you to bed!! Allegedly!

We have a big pile of Cosmopolitans next to the bog and it says so in there!
