Yorkshire inn is the best visa run service I find.. Merc minibus and faster than a big bus service.. They handle all the $5 and boat cost issues.. IIRC its 1250 or so.. Leaves at 8 returns by 5 - 7 depending on rain roads etc..
The big bus takes bloody ages.. (leaves at 6 return 8+)..
Drop into the Yorkshire inn on Sansabai and put your name in the book..

Gday LivinLOS, Whats "IIRC" mean?
And how how long does the new visa allow you to stay in Thailand before you have to cross the border again.
Thanks Rex.

"If I Remember Correctly"
30 days, unless you have a multiple entry proper visa of some sort.

Entering the kingdom you will recieve whatever your entitlement to stay is depending on your visa.. No visa at all gets a 30 day visa on arrival.. 60 day tourist visa or 90 day non immigrant visa options are all possible at any entry point.

I would never get on this bus. It parks around the corner from my house, and they are always pulling bits and pieces of it.
It has been established that the mini bus service is quicker and more reliable.

What is the ferry like? More specfically for someone like myself..often its difficult for someone to say as they dont think about it normally, but would you envisage being able to get a chair on/off it or not? Unless ferrys are fairly large normally its impossible as their just not built for that kind of access.

No definately not, its not a ferry its a long tail or 'big boat' service.. Either way its gangplanks and hopping from one floating boat to another..

If you go to Andaman Club from Andaman Club Pier you will go with an ordinary ferry, which leaves every 30 minutes. This is a different pier and also a different immigration office than the one at the ordinary pier with longtail boats.
First time I did the mistake to stamp my passport at the main immigration office which you should not do if you want to go to Andaman Club.

Thai Embassy Singapore
First Silk\Thai flight in the morning, taxi to the embassy, get youself a
3 months visa, back to Phuket with last Silk Air flight around 1900 hours.
The visa is free of charge or at least after the tsuami last February.
