1,000 baht, perhaps 3,500 baht tops if shes getting pills, blood tests and an ultasound. Thats from an International Hospital.

I think we went once a month and an average cost maybe 800-1000 baht, I dont remember exactly. But blood testing and ultrasound costed more.

You'll find she'll get cheaper prices when you dont show up with her. Tell her to buy vitmains (they always prescribe expensive ones) from a pharmacy outside the hospital. Dr fee in international hospital is 200 Bhat/visit then add on fees for lab tests/ultra sound etc ... then for delivery 35,000 (normal) 50,000 Bhat C-Section at an international hospital.

We paid 35,000-40,000 all-in for a C-Section, She will pay exactly the same as all other Thais regardless of whether you, as a falang, show up with her (true at Bangkok-Phuket Int. Hospital anyhow).

Dont know about that Benjy.. It seems to me that they have to run multiple sets of unrequired tests if theres a walking wallet around.. Phuket Bangkok despite being a great hospital usually provided pretty bad service to me for serious issues for my Wife..

The international hospital by Big C was great nursing care but not as well equipped or swanky.. They used to do all in deals including emergency 'insurance' for delivery options.. Seemed good value..

Maybe different departments are different, Our lowest bill (and I was present at every single appointment) was something like 186 baht, the highest 3,200 baht for blood tests (lots of them) ultrasound with pictures and some pills. The actual birthing packages are a set price at least for Thais, however I did witness a farang woman paying around 60% premium on what we had to.

I'm pretty sure the Emergency departments will charge big bucks as I'm guessing they think that Insurance companies etc... will pick up the tab.

Its probably really all about the doctor you get in the end.

We are very happy with the care and service provided, Ead could also call her doctor anytime if she had questions. (That would be impossible in Sweden)

For ultrasound, Bangkok Phuket also have 4D these days.
