It's near but far.

The Novotel is nice enough - and fully self-contained, but it's perched on the edge of a fairly steep hill at the very edge of Patong (outrageous amount of stairs), so you'll be in for quite a hike anytime you want to venture off the hotel property to even grab a cup of coffee or to a store. I stayed there for a single night, then opted to stay at a cheaper (yet still nice) place for 1/4 the price. I couldn't believe the savings and convenience being closer to town. Actually, it was a BM here that steered me the right way. If you don't mind taking a tuk tuk everytime you want to venture off Novotel property, then that is your only option. The second time you hoof it up that hill, you might be apt to change your mind about the Novotel. Pretty views up there though.

Probably best to leave me tied up outside, so you don't get into trouble for bringing dangerous animals into a decent place.

Nice restaurant setup. Honestly 1k-2k isn't too bad when compared to some resaturants in NYC and at least you got a nice host.

I'll make sure to stop by and bring the GF on this trip.

Love the place.

Took my gf, her/my mates for drinks and food for her 25th b'day on Saturday just gone and had a great time.

Considering 8 of us sat there for a good couple of hours drinking cocktails etc.. the cost was very reasonable.

They even managed to rustle up a cake for her as I totally forgot

Will be back very soon. One thing that I really remember was the great music, good downtempo music that you very rarely get to hear frequenting the soi's

Joe Downstairs

Noi and I had a very pleasant evening there. We ate food brought down from the Baan Rim Pa and looked out over the beach view enjoying a nice cocktail and of course Robert was an excellent host. The only blight was that Noi wanted Robert to be her boyfriend... some things never change! (He really is handsum...)

Thanks for dropping by Simon

I bumped into your friends last night and spoke with them.

They all are very nice.

Cheers!

Robert
