Phuket Cricket update
(2006-02-21 15:44:12)

Molly Malones Irish Pub in Patong has organised a special social event for this Friday, 24 February, in support of the Island Furniture Cricket League and Phuket cricket in general. Anyone interested in cricket in Phuket is encouraged to pop in for a pint and a chat to find out the latest happenings in cricket on the island. The event kicks off at 7pm with finger food and a few free drinks, Tiger beer for the gentlemen and wine for the ladies. There will be no entry fee and anyone interested in attending should email scarfy@loxinfo.co.th. In other cricket news the Kamala Beer Garden team are still after additional players for their match this Saturday and anyone interested should contact either Andrew Scattergood (06 9410639) or Ray Muller (07 1257711) ASAP.

For the moment they are using the BCIS pitch, but I hear that Alan "Dubai" Cooke and others have acquired some land and are going ahead with plans for a Phuket Cricket Ground.
