Doc Editor Needs Mac in BKK

Hi All,
Posting this for a fellow filmmaker looking to edit a documentary while in BKK.

This would be a full Power Mac G5 setup with a broadcast monitor and studio audio monitors and in a studio environment.

Drop me a line if you know of any contacts in the post-production biz in BKK.

Sure wish it was me doing the gig!

ha.. Looking at the production values, blown whites, garish colors, flaring, missmatched audio levels etc of Thai produced TV I wonder if shuch a beast even exists !!!

If ypu look on ThaiVisa there was someone talking about making a TV show for the domestic market and a farang commented that he had a small studio.. Might be worth hunting..

Have a G5 to play with with a nice 21 widescreen ( I never checked as it came right out the box) must say is nice to play with. But the macbook with 17" widescreen is nicer, that one is almost as sexy as a tg. And yes that is also there to play with

Think you mean MacBook Pro. I don't think they make a 17" MacBook. I am considering one of those as my "road warrior" rig. I brought by trusty TiBook on my last tour.

And if you're thinking about buying a Mac Tower right now, I'd wait.

LiL, thanks for the tip on hunting down a potential studio. I'm sure that there are mid-range post houses in BKK. They just aren't easy to find. The high end is not too tough, though.

This place looks a bit too high end with a 4K Spirit Telecine (whoa!):

So just because it is the Pro with DualCore Intel makes it not a Macbook? indeed it is a pro and I love it.

and the screen is only 20" widescreen, but I heard they have a 30", now I am real sad and want a bigger screen.
