Anyone been to the wakeboarding lake?

A few websites say there is a wakeboarding lake (i.e. with pulley system) in Phuket. I haven't been able to find much info on it yet. ?!? I was hoping there would be a club to join? Does anyone know?

Do not think there is a club as such there but if anyone knows how to re-join my knee, info would be handy.

Costs are 500bht for 1 hour, 600 for 2 etc, you can get a ticket at Karon which discounts it down to 500 bht for the whole day, always good crowd there, quite a few regulars.

Yep.....buy one of those stupid looking brace thingys with the hard plastic and the metal hinge in the middle........probably cost you a bit but that oughta work............

The actual water ski lake is located near the Kathu Waterfall. I was out that way last week but i am not sure if was open or not.

It was shut late june/early july for refurb but has been back open now for at least 3 weeks or so.

I went to the one in Bangkok. Taco lake near the new airport. Its loads of fun but can't compare to being pulled behind a boat. It costs 100 Baht an hour or 500 Baht for the whole day.
