A mate informed me he had:
a TOT 3G service unlimited calls 1000baht per month "good" internet access Anyone else use this service or know about it ? Regards Sleesy

I heard the 3g things was being done in Thai time..
3G availablility (with international bandwidth) at a reasonable price will revolutionize connection options.. Same discussion on bali except there you dont get a phone line that works for internet, so the leapfrogging will be even more amazing. My guess is its a bit further out though.. We dont even have EDGE equipped nets here (do in BKK though)..

yep, there was a song and dance about it at Central Festival a couple of weeks ago but i stupidly didn't go check it out. I've also seen a few posters around town about it but everyone i've asked doesn't seem to know anything.
might have to pop down to the CAT office in town to see if they can give me anymore info. I'll report back if i find out anymore.
