Employment for performer

Hi there

I'm not an expat, but thought that expats would know about this....
Im arriving in mid Jan and spending 6 weeks in Phuket studying. Id like to work as a (very much clothed/costumed) performer in a club in Phuket. Im wondering if this is possible - in Melbourne we have freestyle podium dancers that do 3 sets a night , it's pretty common. And does anyone have any contact details - email addresses of clubs etc. I've already emailed Taipan from their webpage, so any more details would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot

EJ

I'm planning to get a class B visa, which I think is like an extended working holiday. Would this make a difference?

Thankx for replying.

No, the non-b visa make no difference, you always need a work permit for working in Thailand. Police recently sent two brisith home for working without work permit and fined them 200,000 baht.
