Small business opportunity for hotel owners
Hi all honoured BM-s,
I wrote headline as about small business opportunity for hotel owners, but it was just for a short headline.
In fact my message is for everyone, who has good and reliable connection to any at least 3* (or more)hotel, located close to beach (salty sea water) owner/operator.
I have business idea connected to my own skin health problem (please use search function) , and as I found through live experiments nice solution, I would like to help others and make my own life easier.
Of course business size is not as CocaCola, but there are 3-5% of USA people having the same skin disease problem as I have...
Therfore any PM from board members, who own hotel or have connection to reliable Thai persons having hotel(chain) in Thailand (Phuket, Hua Hin ...?),
in case of interest please PM me.

I thourght that it was the dead sea who was no 1 for people with skin problems...But i also know that it could be more or less anywhere in the world as sun and saltwater is a good cure for that kind of problems...Please correct me if i´m wrong.

Hi Jesper,
You are absolutely right concerning basic healing factors as sun and salty water .This is why I can not realize my business (khm, ...small business) idea here in coast of "nice snowy" Baltic Sea.
But in addition I have got by my own skin experience to know something additional, what makes the whole thing work.
And if to imagine, that in USA there is about 3% of population suffering this kind of skin disease - I'm not targeting all of them at all, and probably 99% of these people will never ever know, where Phuket (or Hua Hin) ,Thailand is located....
Trick is small but it works.
All we BMs know as well that in LOS relations are more worth than money.
If any of BM-s with necessary relations will be interested, please PM!

Theres a BM on Thaivisa (and maybe here Simon43 ??) who has vcreated a special disability hotel / resort on the north of the island..
All switches have brail.. No steps.. Wide doors.. Specialist bathrooms.. I think he may have said they intend staff to have some nursing / care ability also..
I have no idea if your thoughts fit his idea but I have to say I think his plan has great potential..

Hi LiL,
that is not a big secret - my business idea is concerning psoriasis (pls Google in case of doubt) sufferers, so nothing special is needed, except sun and close access to pure sea water (therefore Patong is excluded, I guess ).
In the same time the market potential is huge - I can only not start up without local hotel owner/company.
And I do not want to be any "big guy" in this business - just advice, use my connections and knowledge - and get enough compensation for this.

Grandad suffered terribly from it when he was old and dieing..
Combine that with him being extreeme stiff upper lip, shave every day, starched collar always, breed of person it caused him awful discomfort.

This disease is normally coming from father to son, so naturally my dad has the same problem (happily not so much as I do, but still enough for discomfort), due to my extensive experiments he also started last summer the procedures and is cleared now well .
So it is possible to get better also at home, but my idea about usage of LOS climate and salty sea water is based on my own experience.
I try to be 2 to 3 times per year in Phuket or Hua Hin and it really helps !
One more thing - no one never clears up finally - the problem will always come back after some time. This makes business idea even more reasonable, as the business will never end ...

Hi Baltic
Yes, I do have a hotel just by Phuket Airport which is finally open! Whilst it is available for all guests, I constructed the hotel (as LivinLos mentioned), to allow access for disabled guests. So no steps, wide doorways, low-height light switches etc. (I still need to do the braille signs....)
This resort is just 400 metres from NaiYang beach, which is a very safe beach (due to offshore coral reef).
Just PM me if you need more info. We have been open for a few weeks now and are sorting out teething problems very quickly!
Cheers
Simon

Hi Simon..
Sorry to totally hijack this thread and drag it OT.. But..
The coral reef up there.. How far offshore is it ?? Is it a surface reef ?? Is it a good living reef ??
Nai Yang is one of the beaches I have never swam off.. And I like to go coral hunting.. I can handle heading a good way offshore..

Hi, I'm not a diver, so I know little about the reef! It is about 300 metres offshore and stretches aross most of NY bay, (but not north to Mai Khao beach which is dangerous to swim at).
NY beach is very safe to swim almost all year round, due to this surface reef which breaks up the waves and also due to the very small slope of the beach, unlike Mai Khao beach.
The seafood restaurants on the beach serve great food!
