Any Expats like goodies from home?

Travelling down to LOS this Wednesday for 10 days in the Deevana.

Already been asked to take down some Scottish Oatcakes for one BM, anyone else after small carryable treats from home taking down?

Can you do me a favour areal highlander and inform me afterward your visit to Deevana Patong if they are Guestfriendly and if the rooms just outside the hotel are still there ? They belong to the Deevana hotel and did ask 1 year ago 500 Baht for a night for it.

I hope you will inform me about this : Jean-Pierre

Oxo cubes and orange squash, well actually any squash cos the stuff on the island is just syrup. This is what I am missing but arealhighlander didn't want you to bring any cos not missing it that much!!! anyway found alternatives, no longer put gravy on my rice and beer keeps me from complete dehydration.

Square Sausage, I think I would struggle to get that down without stinking out the whole place after 2 days in the suitcases! Tried haggis before and what a stink that made...

My buddy brings square sausage vacum packed (and a special blend black pudding)..

To be honest even the things I miss (quality wine, cheeses, bits and pieces) I dont notice so much any more would miss the Thai food much much more in reverse..

Tho I do have to keep my marmite supply channels working !!

I only have one local butcher and afraid they can't do vacuum pack :-(

I can do Marmite easy enough if you want (or any other jar), I'm one of those who love it!

Squeegie bottled marmite.. I am against the idea already.. Sounds like a travesty.

>>Dodger<<

I'll bring you down a bag (if they make the transit!) and either see you at MTB Friday night (planning on being there about 9-10) or leave them there for you.

klav,
Yes those rooms are still there although some of them have been let long term.
Deevana does allow guests but you have to pay a joiner fee. i'm not sure how much.
