Just a quick 'Thank You' post to Dodger (even though he is only up two flights of stairs from me!)
Long before I got here Dodger helped me with some of the necessary research needed for my move over here. Visa, contacts, accommodation etc etc, fantastic. I eventually got here on the 9th...less my luggage which didn't keep up with my short fat hairy legs somewhere between Dubai and Phuket. Dodger met me in Kamala and brought me to the appartment he had sorted out for me. Then started the ring around with regard to my luggage. After an unsuccessful trip back to the airport the next day he took me shopping for some small tents and a marquee...some T-shirts and shorts, oh and some flip-flops, I was still in jeans, wellies and a snorkel-parka after the UK! He has even offered me the use of one of his bikes until I get sorted out......what more could I ask? Anyway, thanks to Dodger, I'm now re-patriated with my luggage, have somewhere to live, have opened a bank account, found a good breakfast bakery and had a cracking night out on Soi Eric at HQ then up to Geirs Gaff last night, meeting up with a few of the ugly reprobates currently out here. Thanks again 'D'............D

Hi D,
Glad to hear that you are settled in, have been reunited with your thong collection(but we all probably would have been happier if the airlines lost that bag) and that you were able to enjoy a great night at MTB and Love Bar even if it was thongless(or in a dirty thong). Have a great time out there and hope to see you in April. Make sure to buy a futon for your apartment so that I have someplace to sleep(on my back555555). At least now all you have to watch out for when you go out is motorbikes and flying glasses and bottles.

Thanks for the good wishes, it's appreciated. Initially doing a 90 day stint as per what they gave me at the airport. They did ask to see a return ticket and gave me a stamp to exit the day after that, lots of smiles, no problem. I'm on a 12 month Non Imm 'O' type multi-entry visa.
I'll no doubt bump into everyone before long, still sweating like a fat b'stard and trying to acclimatise. Just using the fans, not the aircon. I have my luggage now, Thai Air delivered it to Kamala, so I'm a happy teddy bear, it had all my bondage gear and hard currency in there. Had a spin on one of Dodgers bikes today, just a gentle run into Kamala and back after bit of breakfast (fresh eggs, bacon, sausage and a freshly baked baguette - Delish) and a spot of shopping. I've still to hire something. Have a SIM card now and will get my number and details out to everyone soon. Kev, George has contacted me and I will arrange a meet with him soonest. If you have a number for him, I'll take it from you. Thanks Kev. I've even got my wireless working all on my own....whose a clever boy then? As soon as I can get rid of this wire/cable thingy into the back of the PC, I'll be able to walk around and type and everything! In't technology brilliant? Right, just time to get into my PT kit and do a 10 miler and some squat thrusts..........after a little kip I think! Laters

You will notice that from now on only Denver or myself will be posting on here on alternate days as since he's been here the t'internet has slowed to a snails pace until he turns his flash wireless thingy off.
That was a great post Simon and I think will have shocked D Man as he was actually sitting on his L shaped big ol fall asleep when you do not want to couch in his undergrollies (just a quick note to mention these are the same ones he arrived in three days ago). Popping out tonight to show him the delights of Kamala and some of my favourite drinking holes, massage bars (not parlours - bars), hole in the wall bars and then hopefully or not as the case maybe (depends on good time had or beers consumed beforehand) we should be down Patong HQ before midnight, 1.00ammmm!, 2.00isssshhh!!!, three ofeck can't remember oclock.
