Thumbs up Easy Visa Run

I have been living in Thailand now for just over 6 months! Just did my second visa run. I travelled up to Ranong and met a guy by the name of Eugene. He runs the Kiwi Orchid guest house. I stayed 1 night for Baht 250.00 and he arranged my visa run to Myanmar.

I paid Baht 1950.00 which included the transfer the next morning from the guest house to Ranong Immigration and then to Ranong Jetty. We transfered across to Kaw Thaung on a boat run by Moby **** Tours they also have a restaurant in Kaw Thaung. The guide arranged the passport stamping whilst we waited in the restaurant.

On my last trip to Kaw Thaung there were two immigration stops one on the island before you get to the main jetty and then the one on the main jetty.

These guys skip the island and go straight to the main jetty.

15 minutes after arriving at 9.00 am Myanmar time we got in a car that took us on a half day tour firstly to Pagoda overlooking Kaw Thaung and then out into the Ma Li Won valley where we stopped at the rock pools for a swim. We stayed there about an hour met some locals that were there having a picnic and then got back in the car for the return trip to Kaw Thaung where we visited the King Bayint Naung Statue and then back to the Moby **** restaurant for a huge lunch. Great selection of food 2 dishes and rice plus a soft drink, beer we paid extra for. Generous portions of food!

After lunch we wandered through the market before getting on the boat to transfer back to Ranong. Eugene's driver collected us and sent us back to immigration and then dropped us back to the Kiwi Orchid guest house.

We left the Kiwi orchid at 8.15 in the morning and were back sitting in his bar at 4.30 in the afternoon.

Too easy guys, I highly recommend it to any one that has to do there visa run and just wants to kick back and have someone take car of everything

Well worth the money go see Eugene he is right next to the bus station in Ranong.

An alternative way of doing this is to stay at Club Andaman and enjoy the casino for a night, if you go to the casino island you don't need to pay anything at the Burma side for the stamp. (5 USD I think)

Many people don't stay overnight, just enjoy the casino for one or two hours and then head back to Phuket.

The vessel from Club Andaman Pier (Ranong) and the island departs every 30 minutes until 6 pm.
