IMO......I think both of you are right,It's both reasons put together that made it worst,it was also timming, as they were cramping down at that point of time, remember when the eary closing really started?........and he seem to be the biggest target.there was another guy that got hit hard at that time. sometimes its timming, bad luck and the above reasons.

2001 was a horrible year for entertainment biz - not only the early closing but also the increase from 18 to 20 to enter bars - was a very big drop in quality of TG at that time .
Perhaps there is a correlation between the Johnny Walker Classic (loads of BKK MIB down here for security) and the current crackdown.

When I first came here.. I remember trying here and Patts.. Patts seemed like a low rent Phuket to me then.. And there seemed like higher end girls here..
Now I can still in a way see Patts as a lower rent scene than here but the % of high end of girls seems to have gone there and BKK..
Of course that could also be a noobs first tours and eyes not being used to the amount of Hotties..

if i were lucky enough too own a bar in thailand...
the only people that would know about it would be..
me,my wife, a few of my loyal drunken farang mates
and the customary ladyboy that hangs around the place...
i think i could be real good at sitting on my butt and drinking all day....
don't think i'd last too long......

Was there last week.... More beautiful girls per square meter then anywhere I have seen....
Lower cost of living definetley.... Looked at a few condos and you can get alot for your money vs. Phuket and not feel like you are in Pattaya. Downfall not has beautiful as a tropical island and the beaches... The condo swimming pool can make up some of the difference, along with inexpensive golf courses...

Agreed. Walked, accompanied by some cutie to many a wriggly tin-roofed shack from that place in the past.........Always free to get in with the many flyers being given out..........Good for some scoff afterwards on San Sabai........I remember Kev in there in platform shoes, 42" flared jeans and a penny round collared shirt and a waistline!

Wow! Interesting thread! I have to admit than on my previous visits to LOS I saw many instances of Farang Bar Owner sitting there, apparently doing F***all except telling the staff to do stuff. My initial thought was "lazy sod", but I have now been enlightened (note to self - eyes open; gob shut!)

Isn't "road testing" part of managing your investment? I assume, that you want to know exactly what quality you have available in your enterprise???
