Shopping for clothes
Hello,
Since I will be in patong in 10 days time I figured I would buy some summer clothes like slacks/jeans, piquet shirts, shorts, short sleaved shirts etc, a new summer wardrobe of decent/good quality.
So my question is: where do you shop your clothes around Patong?? I will not go to Phuket city so advice would be appreciated for Patong.
See you soon
Regards Tommy

To save your legs from running around all over the place, I would recommend the OTOP Complex. (Rat-U-Thit Rd)
Scores of shops down there, not all that far apart.

If you go to Ocean Plaza on Bangla road, which has some good selections and bargain racks too, take the time to go to the information desk and get a discount card. I think it gives you 5 or 10% off, but this adds up if you buy a lot of stuff.

I usually get some tailored shirts made. There's a good tailor on Bangla at Beach next to the Silver Jewelry kiosk. Pick your fabric and a perfect fit. Good Value.

Central Shopping Mall, Ocean Plaza - Beach Road or Bangla, Junceylon and real hard to accept option, made to measure at one of the many pleasant non pushy tailors.

One other place not mentioned is the open air market on the corner of Sai Namyen and Rat u Thit Rd. Always found some cheapo stuff there compared to Beach Rd prices

Big C.
Get the bus from Patong to Big C. 20 baht and you can stay aqway from the tuk tuk rip off. I bought soem really nice shirts at Big C for about 1200 baht each. (expensive for Phuket but really cheap compared to OZ) Had an unpleasant experience with a Tailor just recently with poor fit and insulting (Hey I already know I am big) Stuffed me around for 5 days before I finally just grabbed one off the rack and took it with me when I left.
Cant remember their name but I know the shiop on Bangla left hand side as you walk to beach a few tailors back from Beach Rod. Am I allowed to post name of Tailor with poor quality, lousy service and stuff you around? if so I will post after my easter trip.`

Used ROSSO bottles for an aquarium, stealing T shirts from laundries and "borrowing" bed wear from same!!!!
I didn't know that the cost of living in Phuket was quite so HIGH!!!!
