I am sure that many BMs have experienced what might be termed misinterpretations but I could not help laughing last week.
In the shed I am installing a power shower. The water pressure being what it is (low) I suggested to the builder that we might use a header tank in the roof to act as a kind of reservoir to prevent the pump from drying up.
I have enclosed a picture of my "header tank"! It has now been buried in the ground.
I guess you guys never discussed how many litters?
Ouch! The joys of construction here never stop. Hear the word "tank", think big blue 2000L job, stop listening, and dig a big hole. At least they didn't start building a big separate water tower.

I think you are absolutely correct. I had not considered the implications of the power cut on pressure and of course the builder did simply hear the word "tank" and stopped listening.
As we speak a secondary system is being proposed.... This involves a cold water tank (aka big bucket) in the roof!
