Parking at Jungceylon
Hey Guys,
Not sure if this has already been posted or not. Today we went and parked underneath at Jungceylon. We went to Carrefour and then got something to eat. When we were leaving the car park and handed in our ticket, they asked for our receipt to show we purchased something there. Now, if you don't have a receipt of purchase within Jungceylon, they will charge you (don't know how much) by the hour for parking. Just an FYI....

Interesting.. I use that parking a lot.. So what happens if I park.. Then go to BK.. Or wander the store.. Or check the price of a sony laptop.. Or get a starbucks..
Tho I can understand thier point in not wanting to be a free parking for all of town.. What annoys me most are the security guards who wont let you use the through Rd after 12 ish.. If your at top of Bangla and want to head to Sai nam yen thats a major hassle and I cant see whats wrong with driving on a road !!

Well, if you go to starbucks then you best keep your receipt or you'll be charged for parking. Only window shopping? Then expect to pay. Going to BKK and parking there... expect to pay more than at the airport (maybe).
Crazy I know, but I'm sure they are getting many people parking there and heading down to the beach.

Are the tickets time stamped, didn't notice they were, which would indicate they will make a flat charge, which could be even more annoying if you had just popped in to check one thing and only been a couple of minutes.
Thanks Dingo for letting us all know, I'll take back everything I've ever said bad about you, heh just tried to do it and noticed that it amounts to too much!!!! but at least you know the thought was there!!

Well thanks for that Dodger, much appreciated mate. You can keep trying....
We had a receipt so we weren't charged. Apparently if you have a receipt it will give you the first 3 hours of parking for free. Not sure what the fee is after that or if you have multiple receipts for shopping in different stores can multiply each by 3 hours.... who the heck knows but we'll find out soon. I'm sure it won't kill the bank but they do have to watch out for cheap charlies just looking to park easily without using the shopping facilities. Now I know there wouldn't be any of our BM's that would be abusers of that.....

Maybe there is a way to validate parking at the shops for free parking. They are doing this at Bangkok Phuket Hospital now.

Its an obvious problem... Businesses here just dont plan or wont pay for customer parking.. So the ones that do like jungceylon or the hospital get abused..
