Ok so I took the hint!!
Well after a huge amount of procrastination in keeping people uptodate on things
 I took the hints to inform all!Yep im in Thailand now! Got here 7 weeks ago to Pattaya...heres a slight chronological breakdown of whats been happening... Arrived 23rd of Feb and went to the Pattaya Hill Resort which I had booked for 1 month as a stop gap while we look around Pattaya and the surrounding areas and consider long term prospects... I Emailed the manager and enquired about access, stated I was in a wheelchair etc etc and he was like "No problem, we have a lift going to all the rooms!"...turn up at the front to be greeted by a flight of 20 or so steps to get inside the building to where the lifts were located! B@ stard.   Manager was American too so lack of communication is no excuse. Spent two nights there getting lifted up/down the stairs by Somchai 1,2,3 and 4. Manager skipped out on meeting me but did offer a discounted rate for the nights.SO....While talking to an estate agent he mentioned a cheap/cheerful place that was accessible down on 2nd road, the Palm Garden Hotel...so off we go and stay there for two weeks. Nice place, few small steps here and there but all in all v.good for wheelchairs and only 800baht a night. Over the two weeks staying there we rented a car from a guy who was a friend of the estate agents which was only 15000baht for the month (Ford Ranger) and proceeded to drive all over the place...Jomtien, Sattahip, Sriracha and over to the "Darkside" of East Pattaya. Quite early on I decided that Pattaya was a lot more wheelchair friendly..yeh its not all smooth marble pavements with ramps/lifts everywhere but on the whole we found it easier than Phuket, also noticed a lot more other people in wheelchairs around here from guys on their own in electric chairs buzzing across the Dolphin circle and up 2nd road to guys being towed along beach road by a girl riding a moped. Also the Baht Busses always seemed ready/willing to help with the chair (Although always declined). With deciding to stay in Pattaya we spent loads of time looking for houses, Jomtien and out by Maprachan ("Darkside") being the areas preffered. Nearing the end of the two weeks at Palm Garden we got lucky with a great house on Soi Siam, if you check Noi's Beer Bar - Pattaya - Thailand - Live Webcam with Free Chat the map at the bottom of the screen, my house is just by "The Steak House" thats marked. (You will sometimes see me on Nois webcam also... Great friendly bar)..We got lucky with a English guy who had got his GF pregnant so was on his way back to the UK so she can give birth and maybe raise the kid there so he gave us a good rate as he was in a bit of a hurry to go. Anyways, week after we got the house my mate Peter came over from Dubai (he posted as Dweezal last year on my thread), he was really not wishing to visit Pattaya.....lets say he has a bit of a "Puritan" mindset in some ways and thought of all the girls as "Diseased Skanks" and Pattaya was going to be dreadful, his only incentive to come he said was to see me for 2 weeks....ANYHOOWS, after two weeks here and travelling about and me forcing him to take me to bars Id read/heard about his mindset totally changed to the extent hes coming back in Sept but this time wants to rent a condo as he had issues bringing a girl back to my house out of some strange respect for my folks.  After the first week he said to me that when he first came here he had an Angel and a Devil on his shoulder and the Angel was winning out, after we had some great nights/laughs at the bars and he started meeting the girls the Devil started to win out and his mindset totally changed.  It was quite funny as all the girls loved Peter being tall/handsome/young/loaded (the b@ stard) but he didnt go with a single girl and so rumours were started (no idea by who?? ) that he loved Ladyboys..... After Peter left we just continued sorting out bits and bobs with the house, buying things needed etc... I havent done a great deal of barhopping so far, Ive explored a lot of the Darkside bars and had great fun there, my local bar The Black Pearl being lots of fun and owned by a german guy whos mad as a brush and drunk day/night, conversations with him range from how good cats are to eat to Germany silently/secretly waiting to try and take over the world again.  As the owner of Nois bar said "I started to worry when I went into the bathroom of The Black Pearl but the showers dont work" Now im pretty settled at the house, just last week or so I hired a full time driver and bought a new car so Im sorted for going out/about whenever/where ever I want...hes a good guy and helps me in/out the bars etc, hes 27 and some of his friends are dancers at Xzyte so handy for intros! My dads flying back to the UK for 10 weeks on Monday so at least now dont have to worry about going out/about (my mums scared to death to drive around Pattaya).. So far Ive STILL to visit Walking Street, infact much of the bars of Pattaya itself...Ive visited The Rockhouse once with Peter and down by Drinking Street near the Dolphin Circle (has a ladyboy show on there from 8.30pm-midnight too)..Peter was a bit loathed to visit Walking Street for some reason, no idea why as he was loathed to visit every new bar I took him too but ended up loving each and every one and having a great night (he was sorry we didnt make it back to The Rockhouse as he liked the Thai girl with the manchester accent there!)...As I said above tho, now I got my driver, and getting to know people round here being able to make trips/visits where I want is a lot easier! So should be touring the bars of Pattaya a lot more over the coming weeks!  (I do love my local bars too tho!)

Thanks for the update Fraser , good to hear you've settled in OK and that everything is working out for you.
 You may end up with a few BM's popping in for a visit in the future !!!!!

Crocodile Farm...must admit I didnt really like this place....conditions animals kept in etc....esp the bears, tigers and leopards...hell crocs too when you see them packed into some of the enclosures....Ive no idea why they have so many different enclosures to show the same animals, fewer bigger enclosures with less animals would be far better...Some of the cages for the tigers, bears were barely three times the length of the animal.

Well had my first proper night out in the town itself last night...wasnt too sure where to go at first so headed down to LK Metro as I had been to The Rockhouse once before and wanted to take a look at parking oppertunities round there too..my appologies for such a verbose posting, I like to be thorough. No pictures too, I dont have a small camera
We get down to LK Metro and find somewhere to park quite easily thankfully, nip into The Rockhouse and say Hi to Mulphy and have a quick drink...Tony (my driver) watching TV while I have the company of a couple of girls, I find it hilarious when they come out with comments like "I horny for you!"....."Yeh? How much are YOU going to pay ME then?!"... Only have the one drink at Mulphys as Im wanting to visit several places tonight, so skip next door to Champagne A-Gogo....bit of a disapointment....mostly oldys and fuglies...one cute girl sat around the stage with some other girls while not dancing but that was it....a quick show started with a couple of girls slapping each others ass n' snatch with what looked like a 12" black rambo although the most entertaining part was when the one girl spun round and twatted herself in the head on one of the poles...got a giggle from everyone... One girl came upto me and she was like 50 years old or something ridculous, asked me for a drink etc and I was like "Not right now darling, Meals on wheels cart will be around shortly." the smell from her breath was like someone was rubbing an ashtray on my face...said she was normally a cashier and doesnt sit with customers but she liked me...Yeh?? Well thanks but no thanks! Seating areas were good in here low down tables I could go next to to put my drink on etc. So me and Tony depart after one drink, and head to Club Oasis...get there and....denied entry!! No Thais allowed! Ya bastard.... dry.gif so words were spoken and we were let in after a few minutes, my jedi mind tricks proving useful once again... Get inside and thankfully not packed out but fair few people in there, seating areas not so good for me as its all high level benchs/tables so I park in a corner facing the stage and grab a drink...two for one offer it seems although the 2nd drink seemed to be all coke and no Vodka. Didnt see much to take my fancy dancing about, one crazy girl who had more bounce than Zeppedy came over to me who was nice, again tho just looking as I wanted to move on after my drink but told her I might be back another night. Anyhoows, thereafter I wanted to head to Differ....Ive read about Xzyte on the forums and Slim etc but not heard much about Differ, Tony says hes been once/twice and enjoyed it...many beautiful ladies from Bangkok he tells me! Sounds great! On the way up through Soi Buakhao we got talking about the quality of the girls in various places varying from great to awful and from what Id heard the Thai guys seem to have a lot of the best looking girls working at their establishments! He was pointing out various Thai joints and mentioned most Farang scared to go to them as Thai guys with knifes/guns etc may put a dampner on your night when you do your rendition of Right Said Freds - I'm too sexy on the Karaoke machine ...that said, his homework mission is to scout out some places for me to visit. Priority #1 good looking girls!Get to Differ, he speaks to one of the security guys to acertain if there is a load of steps for entry and nope all seems ok, park, go to the entrance following some stunning looking girls...DENIED!! Security guard wants to check with da big boss if its ok for me to go in as theres lots of people in there and the chair might be an issue (never know when the next firebomb is gonna get thrown through the door).....wait a few mins and yep, big boss man isnt keen on the idea so we have to go....bastard. crying.gif I take it thats Xzyte and the likes all out of the question then, being a Tuesday night Tony was hoping it would be quieter than a weekend.SOOO...onwards to Soi 2 as its pretty close...take the car down Soi 2 looking out for parking places, tiny Soi squeezing past everyone, come up to some hotel and Tony speaks to the guard if we can park there..No problem! 50 baht....Ok fair enough its a good place to leave the car and close to everything. So out we go and head up and go into The Honey Pot...great place, really like the atmosphere in there, was fairly busy but got a table, again the ubiquitous high tables/chairs but what the hell, you get a good view from my position of the girls sitting on the bar stools in their mini skirts. Sat for 5-10mins just surveying the place/girls, Tony asked me if I wanted the mamasan to bring over a girl but I declined just wanting to observe...that said 2 mins later 2 good looking girls came over and sat down and talked to them a bit, they asked me where I was going and wanted me to barfine them...again "Sorry darling not tonight!" explained I was just going around looking at bars etc seeing which bars had the most good looking girls I liked, at which I realised it sounded like I was saying she wasnt good looking by the disgruntled frown on her face so I quickly quipped "beautiful ladys same same you"...which made her happier. So onwards to my last stop of the night, Classroom 2 A-gogo, go in and ponder where to go as no immediatly obvious places to park myself, then some girls quickly whisk away some of the padded seating surrounding one of the platforms and I sit right next to a nice set of naked girls who offer me the 12" black rambo to slap their asses etc with but I delined just wanting to enjoy the view. I experienced by first ever occurance of Ping Pong ball throwers then as some twats saw fit to throw a few...3 rounds of 10 second madness resulting in nearly spilling my drink and many appologies from the staff who thankfully slowed down a bit rather than trying to jump over me to get a ping pong ball. Must say after a ball saw fit to hit me on the head before bouncing away Im in the same camp as others who say ball throwing is for twats. No idea what the guys (and one farang girl) got for their 500 baht as after the rush the thrower was quickly ignored. Also one guy just handed the bucket to the stunner in the jacuzzi, again nothing for his money. A fight started next to me about 10 mins after getting there, bouncers pile in and some rucus occur,  I think to myself "Oh great, hospital visit coming up"...but they kicked whoever it was out fairly quickly.After that relax once again and focus my attention on the stunner in the Jacuzzi, she gives me a lot of attention and waves me to come over but I take my time, some heffer shoves her tits in my face and offers me a lick for a tip....I got confused tho as to whether she wanted the tip in her garter belt or tucked under one of the folds of her stomach so I waved her on. The girl in the jacuzzi kept on at me to go over so a service girl grabbed me and took me over, bought her a drink while she continued to put on a good show then afterwards her time was done came to sit with me...5 mins later she has to go dance on the platform with the other naked girls so I move over too so she continues to entertain me some...anyways she asks to go with me and I ask her how much the barfine is to which she mentions LT or ST? I say LT and she says 2500 baht....I nearly shit my pants I quickly realise shes talking about her price now and say to her no way, 1500 baht....2000 she says, 1500 says I...I like your smile she says, 1500 good! Sweet! Barfine how much? 1000 baht...Again...I nearly shit my pants I point out its gone past midnight, not knowing in the slightest the policy of the place but I thought I would mention it...yep still 1000...well that scuppered my plans quickly to take out the stunner for 1500, I only had 1100 left in my wallet, after paying for my drinks I would not have enough to pay the barfine! and at 1000, I would be pretty loathed to anyways even if I did have the money on me. Explained to her the situation and she was ok, said Id look her up next time..And then I went home! Day off from the bars today, but got a regular girl coming over instead later on
