Non-B Multiple entry (KL)
There is no problem to get one year multiple entry in KL as long all paper work is in order and having a work permit. When I was there a lot of people got one year.
What have changed is that from having just a work permit, they now also look into one specific detail of your work permit. "Work Period" on page 5 has to be 1 year.
That means you need to have 50,000 baht minimum salary. For those with 6 months period 35,000 is minimum criteria. (For Europeans)
I already changed myself last year to meet 1 year criteria and thus pay taxes on 50k, but I havent updated the work permit to reflect that. So I got just 3 months. So when back to Phuket I have to update my work permit.

So you got a single ??
All well and good to say easy of all papers are in order but thats both impossible for a newly formed company and also if your papers are in order to that level why not simply extend in country... Or is it the 4 thai employees and 2 mil doesnt get needed ?? Never done the working route so thats all new info for me.
KL is the last place in SE Asia for multiples I read.. Worth getting one fast if its needed in case of tightening.. Brisbane is the next closest people talk about (tho not heard any reports from Bali.. Wonder if people have tried)..
Really it hasnt got any easier ever since I first moved here.. Also its started a black market in immigration making tea money on bent stamps.. Going rate is 20k on a non imm O..

this is starting to worry me alot.
Just to recap nicke, If i have a monthly salary of over 50k a month and paying taxes on it, previous 4 year history of work permits and Multiple entry B visa's, page 5 on my Work permit stipulates a work period of 12 months, and my work permit is valid on application.......i should be ok for a multiple entry 1 year B visa?
Lets hope so!

That sounds like what he was saying.. But if I was in the position of needing the info I would call the consul I was heading to.. Hear it from the horses mouth.

Yes, for you no problem. My problem is that I used to have lower salary (40K) and my work permit have a work period of 6 months.
In the past just having a wp was enough, but now they look at page 5.

Didnt mean your info was bad Nicke.. I always find if I have a question I want the real answer too. I call the person concerned.. Web fora are great to get an idea, a vague picture, who to ask or how to approach it..
But when it comes to a hard fact like that, its worth the call !!! Always a pain to find they needed form 36b signed in advance.

BTW, to answer your earlier question regarding visa runs vs one year extension.
With one year extension you need to employ four Thais. By doing visa runs every 3 months I dont need to meet that criteria. And before another reason was you could have less than 50k in income but that changed now. (If you want one year multiple entry)
And third reason, for me, is that I enjoy leaving Thailand once in a while for a short holiday.
I do think the new rules make it a lot more troublesome for teachers, diving instructors and others who earns less than 50k, more hassle and more expensive visa runs if they have to go to KL instead of a daytrip with bus to Ranong.

I would have assumed you had 4 employees anyway..
But can understand if you like your visa runs.. I just prefer to choose when and where I go..

B Multi Visa
I got myself this visa the other day it was easy.
I applied at the Thai Consul in Auckland- No actual Thai people working here.
The fee was NZ$ 250 and it took 3 working days, I had to show,
Form completed, Passport and a letter from the company in Thailand that was inviting me, (for at least 4 visits between now and end of the year. This letter was written in English (which the consul liked as they did not have to get it translated, they said)
Print out of flight reservation showing onward flight.
The letter from the Thai Company also had the company stamp on it with the name of the Thai company written in English and Thai.
I was using a new British passport with only 2 previous entries to Thailand in it.
I asked about the 3 year B visa, they said apply to Wellington. I did not have time for all of that.
In the past I have had Non O visas from Brisbane. A super cool embassy really nice people. the first time I went I spoke with the staff as soon as I went in , in Thai. As soon as i did that they took me into like the kitchen and made me a cup of tea, I showed then the pictures of my Family in Thailand, I had a load of pictures with me and all the Thai staff came and had a look. The gave me the Non imm Multi O visa in about 20 mins. I had 2 passports and asked if I could have 2 visas, they said yes no problem as long as i paid two visa fees.
This actually did turn out to be a problem later, but that is another story

Good to hear that Oz is still a easy solution.. Its probably the closest 'easy' place (I havent heard any reports on Sri Lanka which was also close cheap easy and would have made an interesting visa run.. Not stable currently I figure)..
That 3 year is not easy to get I am told.. Would be nice to have 3 full years worry free. Also Ozzies can look into the APEC card, handly thing to have.
