Building Costs

Just a question of construction costs ..

Having some minor building work done ....

Been quoted: (ex materials)

Building (walls) - 80 Baht/ sq m

Skimming - 75 Baht/ sq m

Sound reasonable ??

I don't know the cost of Thai labour, but in the UK last I heard to build blockwork wall was £10 50 sq m. 80baht sq m sounds cheap to me

I heard that in the UK building costs are 30% materials & 70% labour, but in China its about 70% materials, 20% labour.
I am sure you can guess where the other 10% goes.

Thanks - up a bit from building I had done in past, but still pretty cheap.

Undersatnd going rate in Thailand is 50% materials:50% labour.
