Admit I swiped this from TV - but as important to expats - thought useful to post here.

Increased visa fees from July 2, 2007
Penang is issuing Multi entry visas again

As of July 2, 2007, the Royal Thai Embassies and the Royal Thai Consulates will raise the visa fees as follows:

1. NON-IMMIGRANT VISA
o US $60.00 for single entry
o US $150.00 for multiple entries
o US $150.00 (APEC Multiple Entries)
o US $300.00 (Three-year Non-Immigrant "B" for Business and Work)

2. TOURIST VISA
o US $30.00 per entry

3. TRANSIT VISA
o US $25.00 per entry

I am doing one to Penang on 8th July so will find out what is happening.I am only after a tourist entry so may not have too much bother.

Price hike??? Where???

I paid GBPounds90 for 1year Non-Imm 0 from the Hull office back in february....that is MORE than US150.

Hull must be using an exchange rate of 1.66 (when its now 2.00) !

Obviously the change is v the Thai baht not a GBP / USD consideration..

The Thai baht is 10% stronger against GBP than before.. Of course I dont expect them to now drop the 800k annual requirement by 10% tho !!

Is there anyone who has obtained a 3-year non-imm B visa at this point? Not that I am in the market for one right now, but I thought this was a new thing and was just wondering what the hurdles might be.

Someone touched on this in an earlier thread. Maybe I didn't see the outcome or result, but does anyone have one? And, if not, for those that qualify, why not?

I found that a 1-year non-imm B visa was easy to obtain in the US (at least last year), but I am not sure about the 3-year. Comments?

I heard that to get a 3 year was tough.. For a start no consuls can issue them, only embassy's.. In general the embassy's are less friendly than consuls.. Secondly (and I am not 100% on this) I hear you need to have a 1 year (preferably multiple) 1 years before..

The 3 year non imm B is for 'visiting; businessmen I was told.. They look to see lots of short trips.. If your an incountry biz person they want you to have the initial short term non imm B and extend incountry, it forces the tax control, WP, etc..

My Hull issued Multi-enty Non Imm 'O' was GBP 100 in January!

I'll check thier website tomollow..............and they've moved........The Basts!

It was £90 Denver and then an extra £10 because you picked it up in person, I paid the same in March.
