MountainBoarding Anyone?

Hi Guys,

wondering if anybody knows of any good spots I can take my Mountainboard! and if anyone is interested in Joinging me on my new found sport!

The terrain can be rough or smooth to quite a level and wouldnt mind it being all downhill.

Ive had a look at the Kathu Motor X track and there are a few places i can play around on but nothing prolonged, also had a look at the mountain bike track in Kathu on your way to Tesco, again some ok areas but the tracks seem to narrow for my board.

Somebody mentioned the road going to the Big Buddha in chalong is pretty steep and not so much traffic so Ill check it out tomorrow.

Anybody else interested in this sport? I just got a new board and bought myself a 2 meter Kite for the beach (they call it landboarding) so looking forward to the weekend.

Was also wondering if anybody knew of somewhere i could look at making a mini mountain board track, I have been looking at the new Chao Fa bypass road to Kathu, seems a moto X track is in the making there but the terrain is perfect red packed dirt.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Not interested in falling on dirt (have thought about the kite surfing a few times) but have done the kite + buggy scene in holland before.. Fun and SCARY fast !!

How about some pics of the board.. If thnk it is what I think it is its kinda like of off road longboard skateboard yeah ?? With clip in boots / bindings ??

Does anyone on here Kite Surf ?? As we have fairly crappy surf conditions it would be good 'in the water' exercise.. Karon must be ideal Wind Surfing too ??

Sorry Mate, moved the thread to the expat section.

i bought the MBS Atom 95x comes complete with bindings and a V5 braking system for downhills (this is removable for the Kiteboarding) I also bought the 2 meter Ozone Fury Kite with a control bar

There is a guy on the island has a kitesurfing business, Im actually meeting him this weekend so he can teach me to fly my kite, Ive skateboarded and longboarded and surfed so the only part im missing is the kite skills......cant wait.

Gettin really bored in my spare time so started looking at alternative hobbies, Im an adrenaline junky so Mountainboarding/Landboarding is ideal!

The wind is perfect this time of year, Nai Yang beach is pretty good for what i want to do but actually my main interest would be to find a solid mountian trail all downhill so i can have a good Trek up and alot of fun on the way down.
