Kraft Mayo no longer available

Having lived here for a number of years I've got used to a few home comforts like decent mayo. The Thai stuff is just disgusting- so sweet! Anyway for the last month I haven't been able to get it, even at Tops in central. So does anyone know where it is available, or decent alternatives?

or make it yourself, eggyolk (not eggwhite) lemon , mustard , salt , pepper , start whisking and then slowly drop by drop enter the oil (what ever u like, olive or sunflower or another tasty oil) keep putting oil in and keep whisking until it is the thickness u want , u can make it tast the way u want. use fresh eggs and not out the fridge, every thing must be room temp.

and if this is not what u want pm me i'll be there 8th sept than i bring u a good factory made mayonaise from holland

Welcome to the board OldMan.
I think an introduction centered around Mayo is a first.

Good idea BB, bring him a nice big jar of Calvé Mayonaise, because there is nothing better than to eat your French Fries with lots of creamy mayonaise!

Much better than ketchup, cos IMHO that is just a ... and it makes me

Many things in my life have come and gone, but through it all, just one thing has always remained constant: my undying hatred for mayonaisse!!!!! Ghastly stuff!

Coming on the 31st of this month. If you are suffering withdrawal pangs from this obnoxious substance, let me know, Ill bring you some over from Blighty. You will have to collect it though!!

BTW, a very good alternative for very good mayonaise is the Carrefour housebrand. Mayonaise with Dijon mustard, available in tubes and squeeze bottle. Very nice.....

Well I actually managed to restock from Tops in Central- it is back after a few weeks absence. I'll have to try the Carrefour housebrand- sounds excellent. I'll maybe buy some for my big belgium mate who also lives on the island. And fair go MrDK I agree that a first post on mayo isn't necessarily normal- but I lead a quiet life on the island- so not much to say on nightlife etc. Anyway I am really enjoying the forum- much reading and now I'm no longer a posting virgin I might pluck up some courage to post elsewhere. Thanks for all the positive posts guys
