In June last year you posted that you had 1,800,000 Baht and were looking to buy a bar , in January this year you posted again asking about getting work in Phuket .

Now you are again asking the same question , I think you will get the exact same answers as you got before !!!!!

Have you been to Phuket yet pawellech20 ? If not you need to visit to see what life there is like for yourself. Everyone will have a different view of it. Obviously, the expats love it, and a lot of people like yourself would like to join them, But I bet they all visited first before deciding to live there.

Rents........... depends what time of year you visit, what you are looking for, ameneties, location, can all make a big difference.
Its not that members here don't want to help, but you are asking difficult questions to answer.

Your first post gave budgets of 15k for rent..........yes you could get a flat for that amount, but you need to go and see what you are getting first.
15k living expenses, and 15k nightlife Im assuming is per month (same rent), yes you could do that too.

But as for work, I would forget about it. You will find it near impossible to get a work permit unless you cando a job that a Thai cannot do. Doesn't leave much unless you can work from home with a business outside LOS.

Not trying to dampen your enthusiasm, just trying to give you the truth.

Good Luck

The one safe recommendation is teach english..

Come study TEFL, study Thai, teach english, do some black work on the side to pad your salary.. It wont be much but you can probably add 30k salary + private tuition while you learn and find your feet.

Living on your budget will be possible but tight, dont forget that girl you may have met will probably expect you to have funds, the romance may not work as well without them.

Thats of course assuming your a native english speaker ?? Not sure about UK / Poland thing.

45K is do-able if you have that coming in regularly every month! Add in a Thai GF into the equation and I start to doubt it.

I are speaking england ever since I were a children and teach engladn att the local skool here in Tieland. That's about the standard of some of the teachers here. I have my TEFL parts one and two as a kind of emergency back up but as yet, have not felt the need to use them.

Spolling were neva a strong point!

Not only soup, so I heard.

Somehow, I doubt that the OP is proficient enough in written English alone to be able to teach it. Many Poles here in the UK now, and not too many totally fluent in reading and writing English. Also they have a heavy accent, so teaching a foreign language for Poles, to Thai children would be pretty much out of the question IMO. Now he will prove me wrong. 5555

Yeah I saw the Polish thing.. And it is VERY much harder for a non native speaker to find work in the English teaching..

I dont know if it is impossible ?? But its not easy.

Hmmm Polish girls..... Ewa Sonnet,Innes Cudna and Bea Flora to name a few.... Yes ok i'm a t1t man and boy these chicks are packing some front but i guess not the type you see every day in Poland....

Well if the teaching option doesn't come off, there's a guy down Bangla who sells wobbly coke cans on a tray and makes a fortune, really funny guy too, at the end of the day he drives out of Soi Sunset in his 7 series beemer........Oops wrong... thats Tai Pan Bob !!!! (always get those 2 mixed up) 5555

As the other BM's mentioned, not easy to find work here but on the same token not impossible either and your still a young lad, so come over and get yourself looking around and who knows.......

You could open another 7/11. I know one road in Patong where there isn't one every 100 metres.

I am sorry if I am going of the thread, but what would happen if you were to live in Thailand on the 90 days on 90 days off tourist visa and carry out work online here that you would do at home for the 90days you are away.

If you got caught, would you get deported with a big stamp on your passport.
Again apollogies for going a bit off post, but am interested in finding out the answers

Get caught, you are working without a wp and would be deported, although in reality the chances of getting caught if working the internet from home are pretty slim.

Head below the parapet and you do not get shot!!!

Cheers Dodger, I have thought about it a bit, but am to old now to spend time in detention centres or getting deported, life is to short.
They are not nice over there than they are in Australia
One word in the wrong ear, upset one person, and you are out. Is not worth the hassle.
Thanks for the advice
