I meant I just heard the prices on the 2 plain jane Patong houses.. WAAAYYY overpriced..

Lol........sorry for the miscommunication. Good luck with your search for a decent pad, such a bummer all this happened right on the tail end of low season.

I haven't even been looking for a place to be honest. I think I'll just ride the wave till December and then I'm heading away for several weeks. Will look for something on my return and hopefully there will be more available that time of year when 3 months of high season has passed.

Don't know if this would appeal to you or not but I got a call from my maid to say there is a house available not too far from where we WERE at. Its a 3 bed semi (I think) unfurnished with 2 lock up car spaces in front for 25k per month. When you are driving out towards Karon leaving Patong there is a Mini Mart Store on the left, drive up that steep hill and turn left at the top. The continue around the sort of circle until you see the first house (yellow ish)after the dirt mound on the left.

Very cheap and might get you out of a hole. The landlord is selling it so I'm sure he would do a short let on it which would give you time to look for a decent place. Just thought I'd let you know if you didn't know about it already.

I know the owner of that house, his name is Mike and he is the guy who also has 3 units in Beverly Hills. He plays darts for Offshore so maybe Seft and Finlay may know him already. The house in question is pretty big and a good location. You call also use the facilites of the Sai Rougn Hotel next door.

Well a deal is now done on a spot in Lala land in the same place as Dodger and Denver.. Will see how it all pans out for a month or two.. Have my eye on the Penthouse option as thats back on the table but as of now, the apartment is 100% booked.

At least I once again have a roof.

Well we will see how it goes.. I do have cold feet about being out of town but have been thinking about it, even skipping the high season only would still be a win..

And it means I will still have pool close by..

will see if I cant sort those rosso boys out.. buy them a box of the good stuff

There was a big rumble and a boom about 1 hour ago. Going outside for a look we found that LOS's old place had finally given up the ghost and nose-dived off the hill.

Its funny i was only asking LiL the other day if it was still standing !! With the continuous rain we've had lately it was only a matter of time....

Well at least the owner can hopefully proceed in his claim as now the house is definitely beyond repair !!

Must be weird hey LiL, looking at that pic thinking once you were there happily banging away upstairs.....
