Fcuking parking-spot

I parked my car in soi sansabai today as I was to late to drive into my soi.....
Came back and find my right mirror broken and a big "bump" (probably not the right word in english) in my front door...... Of cause the staff there have seen nothing.........Good value parking for 40 bath
There goes the nights profit.......

Geir

.

Broken mirror must have caused you problems putting your make-up on , and the "big bump" was actually your belly !!!!!

Only joking mate , was it parked in the "car park" or on the road . If in the carpark , then whoever did it probably "paid" the staff to see nothing.

Geir, I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune last night.

I can't speak from first hand experience in LOS, but I can tell you, that here in Oz, it doesn't pay to have a good/expensive car & be parking it in car parks.

What you find here nowadays & more than likely all around the world is, car parking spaces are generally narrower now, so they can fit more cars in.

Inconsiderate, fvkcing @rseholes!

They'd never consider leaving a note, to make it right with you, either!

Had a bit of "parking lot rash", myself...about 5 months ago. Tend to agree with Craig on this one. If you can't find a place (well away) from traffic and other cars...you take a chance.

But, WTF are you supposed to do...baht bus?

Come on Pab`s,i`m sure you`ve "bumped" into someone while parking one of those big planes and tried to get away with it.

Wrong!

Never a scratch, in 38 years operating. (unless you count hail, lightning, and ice damage...in flight) 55555

Never scratched a car, either (that I remember), "hiccup, pass the Stoli' " 555

The perpetrator (person that did it) may have assumed the car belonged to a farang.
Under Thai law it would have been deemed as the farang`s fault, because if he hadn`t been there it wouldn`t have happened.

In which case it was no use him hanging around or identifying himself.

Open and shut case, except for the door.

Sadly I have come to the conclusion that in Thailand its a waste of time to own nice things.. Drive the older dented car.. Keep it simple.. Etc..

I did think that my house / home could be different, spent all to furnish, the projector and cinema setup, etc.. Look how that turned out..

Yep, that is why I only drive a cheap Honda and live vicariously through Top Gear instead of dreaming to own something nicer. Pointless. Better to accept that either other drivers or the roads will trash your car.

I've stopped parking down Sansabai as it is a motorway with lots of drunks streaming up and down. Before it was a nice safe haven for your car.

This reminds of the 1970's living in upstate New York in the winter. Everybody put there good car in storage and bought an old rusting 1960's Caddy or Lincoln to ride during the long winters. It was great driving these V8 429hp monsters without a worry. On the weekends it was like the Demolition Derby. At the end of the winter its off to the scrap metal yard.

So where does one park a car in Patong in high season (and safely), - it's difficult enough squeezing in a m/bike?!
