Wink chalong 2bed 1.6mb cheap?

hey guys was just looking through properties for sale on siam property website, and noticed a budget 2 bed apartment/condo for sale between chalong and and the town for 1.6mb, seems cheap for phuket standards, and was wondering if chalong is an ok place to stay, and would be grateful if any bms has any info re. rental market of chalong, anyway it seemed very cheap, maybe reason for this, any info welcome, and appreciated. Does seem cheap and at 2 bed its not some awful studio single room setup.

But if you hunt theres a lot of cheap at the low end also.. But for freehold ?? Near Chalong ?? Doesnt sound a bad price on just initial hearing.

Looking at it.. 70 sqm.. Pool etc.. If genuine freehold it looks ok..

Would need to know (as its 5th and 6th floor) that it has a lift / elevator, a 6th floor walkup is a hassle. Plus you need to step in and change the 'Thai kitchen' before they do that and get a basic western kitchen in there.

If your interested for yourself OK.. But rental returns wont be wild.. Maybe 10 15k per month max over there, before maintenance, tax, non rented periods, communual fees, etc etc etc.

It would really depend on if its in Chalong outskirts or Phuket town outskirts and if the place is sold to a target audience of westerners or Thais, if it gets maintained at all or if in 2 years it has that mouldy greying white paint on the outside and looks like the standard Thai 'block'..

I heard of off plan detached homes for 2.2 or 2.4 the other day with small garden etc that I would feel is a better buy to live in.
