looking for a visarun company recommendation
My priority is that is be by a big bus instead of a minivan.
(From Patong, January 14. Prefer Club Andaman , but that is not important.
Or if anyone has a car and is going on January 13 or 14, that is preferred.)
If there is no company that guarantees a big bus, or is more likely to have a big bus, possibly because they are larger and do more business, any suggestions as to companies, as well as why they are better than other companies would be great. Thank you.

You can always use a standard bus anyday from Phuket City, cost maybe 200 baht. I did that once. Normally I prefer to fly to KL and stay one night or two. Staying in a bus all day is not my cup of tea, so I cant really recommend anyone.

Most are minibuses as I guess they can't fill a 56 seater coach on the day people may want it. They often just run a car if there is only one or two people. Having chatted to a few organisers they get pee'd off with people not turning up at the pick up or not getting back to them until the day before thier visa runs out. Bad organisation IMHO. I believe Yorkshire Inn packed it in because of that.
Give Eve at EveVisaTour a bell on 081-535 2637 or 076 - 289 201
Express Visa Extension - Passport Visa Extension Service Phuket Thailand - I found it reliable and they use the Club Andaman. I think it was around the 1700 Baht for a same day return including trip, breakfast, insured (?) and the boat, not bad. I stayed at the Andaman for three days and found it an OK hotel.
Tell them it was 'Denver' who recommended if you call and I may get a discount next trip. If you see Eve, tell her I'll be down to her place for my complimentary massage in the New Year!

going today on a visa run with pen phet
will write a report afterwards.
took them because they are the only company with a big bus on the day that i needed to go. took them last year - took 16 hours, would not pick me up at my hotel - so my expectations are low, i just did not want a minibus.

So two people recommend to you Eve Visa Tours, you ignore them and go with a company you already know because they are unreliable, will not pick you up at your hotel, and take 16 hours, all because they use a big bus.
Did you ask Eve, as they usually take mini bus to pick you up and link up with a big bus at Talang? they by far offer the best service I've had since being here, Ollie went with them last time and he was of the same opinion, maybe consider them for your next run??

went, came back, report
I was happy because it was a big bus
-more cofortable
-safer
you are right , it takes more time, but i would not want to be in the back of a minivan, even for a transfer to the airport.
took almost 15 hours, i think visa runs are stupid. I would rather pay double or triple the cost to immigration, I do not see how Thailand benefits by this policy.

If you pay more taxes on your company and employ more Thai's its poss to get one year work permit and just have to go Phuket town every 3 mths for stamp but getting this is not easy, and I understand that those mini buses are sometimes a scary ride
