Kilkenny No More
I have dumped Kilkenny.
The local company have yet again let me down and this time I have had no supply since 1st Jan.
This has happened once too often and I will get an alternate dark beer in instead.

I just tried Lao beer dark here in Chiang mai and I thought it was pretty good.
Maybe see if you can get it.
Cheers!

O'Tool's are serving John Smiths on tap and it seems to be selling well, probably better than Kilkenny. Not a bad drop either. Don't know what the supplier is like, or who it is, but Maurice should be able to give you that information if you want.

I've been drinking John Smith's in BKK at Finnegan's. Not a bad drop, but Beamish Red would be a worthwhile replacement.

Replacements in stock
Don't panic Mr Mannering.....
I already stock Dark Beer Lao and have just started with Newcastle Brown in Pint bottles as a stop gap.
Today I had a talk with a new supplier and will be installing John Smiths Smooth on Draught within a few weeks.

I will just have to increase the intake to make up for it then.
Had my first bottle of Newcastle Brown last night - it hits the spot.

great choice, a very smooth on-tap beer IMHO........
Drank a few at the Sportsmans bar just down the road from the Patts Dynasty Inn.

There is always a mistake made somewhere.
This is what I have learned from all the great hoist films of the last 50 years. Well except for "The usual suspects". Their mistake was 'hiring' a member of the Baldwin family. But hey, if they can get a job so can even me!

Nor did I!
I said my second name was Baldwin too:
You may have seen my family in......."Along CAme Polly", "Fun With **** and JAne", "Pearl HAbour", "The Avaitor", "The Departed", 8 Seconds", "Bio Dome", "Slap Shot2; Breaking the ice", "The Snake King", "Stan Lee's; The Harpies", and numerous american sit-coms including "Will and grace" and "3rd rock".
But I never mentioned my name is Baldwin, from the English side. So that didnt help! I dont have the ruggered American jaw line. I have the English pie line........... etc etc
